To summarize, I'm currently a User Experience Architect at Cisco Systems. I'm applying user-centered design to a number of individual projects, and am leading a design team working on the Cisco University initiative. I previously worked at Opsware, Loudcloud, and Oblix.
Academically, I'm pursuing a Master's in Human Factors & Ergonomics from San Jose State University in California, and am in the middle of my thesis research on mental models and human-computer interaction. I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia.
I'm also a member of the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society (HFES), and am serving as the Student Chapter Chair of the HFES 50th Annual Meeting Host Committee. I served as president of the HFES San Jose State University Student Chapter from 2005-2006. I also belong to ACM SIGCHI and BayCHI, and published a paper for CHI 2005.
